There’s a new warning out about a phone scam circulating in Saskatchewan and it involves Premier Brad Wall’s office.
The Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority said an individual is making calls claiming to be from the premier’s office looking for financial information. The area code is from Jamaica.
Wall’s office confirms this is not someone calling on their behalf.
The premier’s office is also reminding people to never give out personal information over the phone.
If you get a call similar to this, you’re being asked to contact the province’s Consumer Protection Division by email at consumerprotection@gov.sk.ca or toll free at 1-877-880-5550.
