SaskTel customers living in communities east of Regina had no service for several hours on Thursday night.
The company confirmed Thursday evening, a cable was cut in the Balgonie area affecting landline, cellular, and internet services. Customers living in Balgonie, Corning, Cowesses, Grenfell, Kipling, Langbank, McLean, Ochapowace, Peebles, Wapella, Wawota, Whitewood, and Wolsely, and the surrounding areas, were affected.
Services were restored around midnight. On Friday morning the Crown sent out a media release explaining that the cable was cut by an outside contractor and apologizing for the inconvenience to customers.
