3 fires Sunday morning keep Regina crews busy

Fire crews in Regina were kept busy on Sunday morning with three different fires before 9 a.m.

The first two were garage fires.

Just before 4 Sunday morning, crews were called to 2266 McDonald St., near 15th Avenue. Then about an hour and 45 minutes later they were called to 1811 Quebec St., near 11th Avenue.

In both cases the garages were fully involved in flames by the time crew got there, and the building were destroyed. An investigator will be looking into the cause of those fires on Monday.

At 8 a.m. a call was put in to Regina fire when a person at 87 Marsh Cr. smelled smoke. Five crews were dispatched to the house in the south end of the city, and they found a fire in the attic that had spread to a couple of rooms in the back of the house.

Everyone got out of the house alright, so there were no injuries, and when everything was said and done Regina fire said there wasn’t too much damage to the home. An investigator was on scene Sunday, looking into what started the blaze.
