A hometown rally for National Lacrosse League champions the Saskatchewan Rush is set to take over downtown Saskatoon.
The celebration will be held at the Bessborough Gardens on June 7 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. to honour the team’s historic first season in Saskatchewan.
Players Mark Matthews, Robert Church and Nik Bilic will be in attendance along with the Champions Cup so fans can take photos.
After the rally, the trophy will be on display at the Rush office for fans to come and get photos for a few days before the cup heads out of town to tour with members of the team.
The Rush won 11-10 over the Buffalo Bandits to become back-to-back National Lacrosse League champions in front of a sold-out crowd at SaskTel Centre on June 4.
