There has been a dramatic increase in thefts from vehicles in Moose Jaw and police are warning the public about it.
According to police, thefts from vehicles were up 260 per cent from May this year compared with May 2015. Seventy-two thefts were reported this May compared with 20 the May before.
Police say items stolen include computers, cell phones, GPS devices, and money. A large number of the vehicles targeted were unlocked at the time.
Police say another item of interest is garage door openers which could give the thief access to a garage and its contents.
Moose Jaw police are reminding people to lock their vehicles and remove any valuables.
