Saskatoon police continue to investigate the city’s eighth murder of 2016.
A man was found injured in Riversdale back on June 18. The 24-year-old later died in hospital.
Police reached out to businesses in the 300 block of Avenue E South for any surveillance tape they may have had and it seems the call for help has paid off.
Investigators are asking for the publics assistance in identifying the suspect. He is described as a black male between the ages of 20 and 30, with short dark hair. He was last seen wearing dark pants, a long dark sleeved shirt or jacket, and a ball cap. Investigators have determined that the suspect was last seen running south on Avenue D from 19th Street. It is not believed the suspect and victim were known to each other.
Police wish to thank those who have already supplied video surveillance, and continue to ask businesses and residents who saw anything that may be related, or have surveillance image, to report it to Police at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
