Saskatoon police officers tased a man who was running with a knife in the Adelaide Churchill neighbourhood Friday morning.
Shortly before 6 a.m., patrol officers were dispatched to the area of Ruth Street and Clarence Avenue. There they found a man armed with a knife and running around. He refused to listen to officers and became more aggressive.
Officers deployed the taser on Wilson Crescent and the man was taken to hospital for treatment.
The 32-year-old is facing charges of assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of a prohibited weapon contrary to order, and possession of cocaine.
