The Saskatchewan Roughriders have added two international quarterbacks to their roster.
G.J. Kinne, 27, joins the Riders after spending the last four seasons in the NFL. The 6’2″, 218 lbs Texas product originally signed with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent in April, 2012. He then spent some time on the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad.
Last season, Kinne played in three preseason games for the Eagles. He went on to sign with the New York Giants practice squad where he remained for the season.
Before turning pro, the 27-year-old spent three seasons at the University of Tulsa. In 38 games he completed 732 of 1,195 pass attempts (61.3 per cent) for 9,472 yards and 81 touchdowns.
Bryant Moniz, 27, joins the Riders after being part of the Calgary Stampeders organization the past two seasons. The 6’0″, 205 lbs University of Hawaii product dressed for all 36 regular season games as a backup, completing two of four pass attempts for 29 yards and one touchdown. Moniz added 35 rush attempts for 98 yards and six touchdowns.
Moniz was part of the Stampeders 2014 Grey Cup winning team.
