Police are looking for suspects after a knifepoint carjacking and another attempted carjacking Tuesday night.
First, at around 8:45 p.m., two men allegedly came up to a vehicle on the 1900 block of 22nd Street West and ordered the occupants out at knifepoint. One of the suspects then took off in the vehicle while the other ran off on foot.
The first suspect is described as an aboriginal man in his mid-20’s wearing a black hat, white tank top and khaki pants, with a red bandana covering his face.
The second man is described as also being aboriginal, but older than the first suspect. He was reportedly wearing a black tank top and hat, as well as khaki pants. He was reported to have some facial hair and tattoos on his arms.
Police reported Thursday that the stolen vehicle from the first incident has been recovered.
The second incident happened just after 11 p.m. at a fast food restaurant on the 2200 block of 22nd Street West. This time, a male suspect approached a car in the drive-thru carrying a knife and demanding that the people inside get out. The driver was able to pull away and no one was harmed. Police reported that a canine unit was unable to track down the suspect.
The suspect in the second incident is described as an aboriginal male in his late teens, six feet tall with a slim build and wearing a red hat with white lettering and a red shirt and shorts.
Police said they had yet to determine if the two incidents were related
