There are very few details confirmed about the deaths of two men in Ponteix on Thursday.
RCMP report that the Ponteix detachment were called to the town dump at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. They found two men dead at the scene about six kilometres east of the town.
The Southwest Booster newspaper in Swift Current is reporting that sources have said it was an apparent murder-suicide, but this has not been officially confirmed by police.
Officers from the Ponteix RCMP are investigating with assistance from the Shaunavon detachment, RCMP Major Crimes Unit south, the Yorkton General Investigation Section and the Swift Current Forensic Identification Section.
The autopsies on both men are scheduled for Wednesday, July 13. Police say there is no further information that can be released at this early stage in the investigation.
