Thorn said that one of the corner stone’s of this effort is that it will now be easier for owners to report a pet missing.
“We want to try and help people reunite with their lost pets as fast as we can.”
Thorn said that the humane society has always taken missing pet reports but is now making it easier to make a report.
“You go to our website, it’s easy to find under lost pets, you can fill out the information about your lost pet, what kind of animal it is, its name, details about … including uploading a picture.”
Thorn said people can even use this website feature to print off poster which they can use to help find their missing pet.
Thorn said that the humane society will also be adding a stray pet section to its website.
“What we’re doing there is animals that are brought in as stray to the Regina humane society we’re posting a picture … and also some basic information about the type of animal … so that people can go on there if they’ve lost their pet.”
