O'Day discusses Trevor Harris and changes to be made to get the Riders back to the Grey Cup.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders have acquired a quarterback from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
The green-and-white traded the rights of a player on the negotiation list for international QB Jake Waters.
This is the first season in the CFL for the 24-year-old Iowa native. Waters signed with the Tiger-Cats in April and dressed in all three regular season games as the backup QB.
Waters attended the Seattle Seahawks’ training camp last season. He originally signed as an undrafted free agent with the Jacksonville Jaguars in May, 2015.
Before going pro, Waters spent two seasons at Kansas State, completing 421 of 657 pass attempts for 5,970 yards and 40 touchdowns in 26 collegiate games.
