A Clavet man has died after his pick-up truck collided with a train near the community Saturday night.
RCMP released information Monday that officers responded to the fatal collision two miles west of Clavet, located 15 kilometres southeast of Saskatoon, around 7:03 p.m.
The collision involved a westbound CN train and a northbound pickup truck.
After emergency crews arrived on scene, the lone 68-year-old male driver of the truck was pronounced dead.
The RCMP Collision Analyst and other support services remained on scene for several hours.
The cause of the accident has not been determined and the investigation is ongoing.
No rail cars or engines were derailed as a result of the accident, and there was no hazardous goods spill.
