A 31-year-old man is in custody after an assault on two theft prevention officers at a Saskatoon business Thursday evening.
Police said the suspect then also stole from the store, located in the 1200 block of 7th Avenue North.
At 9:40 p.m. Thursday, police received the complaint and went to an apartment in the area where the assaulted officers had chased the suspect.
Police entered the apartment and were able to determine the suite the suspect was hiding.
With assistance from the canine unit, the man was safely taken into custody without injury.
The accused is facing charges of theft under $5,000, and two counts of common assault.
