A Regina Police Service officer has been charged with impaired driving.
Devon L. Sterling, 37, has been a police officer for 11 years.
According to Regina police, the charges came after Sterling was stopped on the early morning of July 15 by Lumsden RCMP.
The Regina Police Service is also carrying out its own internal investigation which will not be finished until the criminal charges are dealt with.
Sterling has been assigned administrative duties.
He will make his first court appearance August 22.
