A short-lived, but widespread power outage in Saskatoon left people in the dark across the city Friday.
The city said power went out around 1:12 p.m. in parts of downtown and the eastern portion of the Saskatoon Light and Power service area.
Power was restored within 20 minutes.
Saskatoon Light and Power believes the outage was caused during maintenance to a transmission line.
Crews are investigating.

Shortly after 1 p.m, power went out in numerous areas.
Reports to News Talk Radio said intersections along 8th Street were being treated as four-way stops, and customers were left waiting outside affected businesses.
Power appeared to be restored shortly after 1:30 p.m. to all areas.
