A man attacked at a party, robbed, and then locked in a bathroom in North Central Regina – now nine people are being charged in the crime.
Police said officers were approached at 5th Avenue and Elphinstone, by a 20-year-old man around 4 on Sunday morning.
He told police he’d been at a party a few blocks away and when he tried to leave they wouldn’t let him. He said he was attacked by several people, robbed of everything including his car keys, and locked in a bathroom.
The man said he’d escaped through the window, and a passing driver helped him get to police.
Officers soon went to the location the man desribed and ended up arresting four people.
A 16 year old is charged with:

- robbery with violence
A 17 year old is charged with:
- forcible confinement
- robbery with violence
- obstruct peace officer
- fail to comply with probation order
Cherish Longman, 18, is charged with:
- robbery with violence
- forcible confinement
- three counts of fail to comply with probation order
Jamie Dean Buffalo, 36, is charged with:
- forcible confinement
- robbery with violence
Soon after, police found the man’s vehicle during a traffic stop on College Avenue. The police chased it, but the driver managed to evade the officers in the Cathedral neighbourhood. The vehicle was found abandoned in the south end, west of the Golden Mile Shopping Centre.
Police said five people were found in the immediate area, and were arrested.

April Raine Bigsky, 19, is charged with:
- two counts of theft of motor vehicle
- forcible confinement
- robbery with violence
- two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- fail to comply with probation order
- flight while pursued by peace officers
A 14 year old is charged with:
- forcible confinement
- robbery with violence
- theft of motor vehicle
- possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- flight while pursued by peace officers
- fail to comply with probation order
A 13 year old is charged with:
- forcible confinement
- robbery with violence
- theft of motor vehicle
- possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- flight while pursued by peace officers
Cree Summer Strongarm, 21, is charged with:
- flight while pursued by peace officers
- robbery with violence
- theft of motor vehicle
- forcible confinement
- possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- three counts of fail to comply with probation order
Those under 18 cannot be identified as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act. All nine made their first appearance in court on these charges Monday morning.
