The best ribbers from across Canada will be at Diefenbaker Park on August long weekend.
The annual RibFest offers four days of delicious ribs, live entertainment and of course, a beer garden.
“We’re hoping a lot of the rib lovers will come out for the event,” Rotary Club member, Bryan Tastad said.
The club hosts the fundraiser in order to give to give back to various community groups.
Tastad said the best ribs he’s had are made over the wood fire barbeques.
“The ribbers slow grill the meat for hours and it makes the ribs delicious,” he said.
The BBQ chefs will be cooking for the most votes to win the best ribber award.
“It’s easy, all you have to do is text in the vote for your favourite ribber,” Tastad said.
RibFest runs 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. holiday Monday, admission is free.
Last year the event brought in 21,000 people.
