Two Saskatoon men are in custody after a break-in and assault in the Westmount neighbourhood Saturday morning.
Police responded to a home in the 500 block of Ave H South around 9 a.m. after a neighbor reported seeing two men, one carrying a baseball bat, enter a nearby home.
As police arrived two man were seen running from the home.
After a brief chase police arrested the suspects two blocks away.
One of the men was treated for non-life threatening injuries consistent with police dog bites after failing to follow police commands.
A 24 year old woman who was home at the time of the break-in was treated at the scene after being hit with a baseball bat.
Investigators do not believe the incident was random in nature.
The two men, ages 34 and 19 are charged with Break and Enter.
One was found to be in possession of small amount of methamphetamine.
They will both be brought before a Justice of the Peace Sunday evening.
