'Considering the circumstances ... this is best-case scenario,' Cole Cusitar said.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders have added a Canadian to their roster — quarterback Brandon Bridge.
The details of the contract were not released.
This is the second CFL season for Bridge, who was drafted in the 4th round (31st overall) by the Montreal Alouettes in the 2015 draft.
The 24-year-old dressed for 11 regular season games last season, completing 26 of 40 passes for 282 yards and two touchdowns. Bridge added 18 carries for 59 yards. This season, the 6’5″, 225 lb. University of South Alabama product dressed in four games, collecting just two yards on three carries.
Bridge made his first career start in November, 2015 becoming the first Canadian QB to start a CFL game since 1995.
