Kamsack RCMP officers and the Major Crime Unit are investigating the suspicious death of a woman on the Cote First Nation.
Police and EMS were called to the community at 6:45 a.m. on Saturday morning for the report of an unresponsive woman. They found a 20-year-old woman dead.
Officers from the Kamsack detachment, RCMP Major Crimes Unit, Yorkton General Investigative Section and the Yorkton Forensic Identification Section are still on the scene along with the coroner.
An autopsy is set for Monday in Regina.
Police have not released any information about the woman’s identity. RCMP say no further information can be released right now because the investigation is in the early stages.
