A Regina man is being accused of trying to trick people with a false fire alarm, then trying to steal from them.
The fire alarm went off in an apartment building on Gordon Road around 2 a.m. on Saturday, prompting all the residents to leave the building.
When Regina Fire and Protective Services responded to the fire alarm, they caught a man who appeared to be entering the apartments and going through personal property. Regina police responded and arrested the man at the scene.
Kyle Lavallee, 23, is charged with mischief under $5,000 and break and enter to commit a crime.
