A 31-year-old man is facing charges after allegedly pointing a firearm at a group of people in Saskatoon Tuesday night.
Police said it happened in the 900 block of Avenue C North at around 9:45 p.m.
Officers said a man approached people outside a home and began pointing a firearm at them before running away.
No one was injured during the incident.
At around 4:40 a.m. Wednesday, police received a report of a vehicle matching a description of one seen in the same area earlier.
Officers found the vehicle with two men inside; one of whom matched a description of a suspect reported earlier.
He was taken into custody.
Police said officers searched the vehicle and found two knives and a hatchet, but no firearm.
The man is now facing charges of pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace and breach of recognizance.
He is expected to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court Wednesday.
