Another million-dollar show home is up for grabs with the launch of the Hospitals of Regina Foundation fall home lottery.
The $1.1 million, 3,800 square-foot home in The Creeks neighbourhood will be available to see beginning Aug. 20. The lottery has more than 1,500 prizes, including a trip to Tahiti and vehicles. For the first time ever, the early bird prize is a cottage at Katepwa Lake.
“The lottery has been a tradition for us and it has a tradition of selling out quickly and early. We sell out every year,” said Dino Sophocleous, president and CEO.
The money raised through both the fall and spring lotteries is partly used on improving equipment and technology at hospitals in Regina, whether it’s new equipment or replacing old equipment. Some of the money raised is also used to fund education and research.
“This is about lives. It’s about people in our community, it’s about friends, our families, our neighbours, people who, one way or another, come through these three hospitals here in Regina, and it’s about our ability to make their lives better,” Sophocleous explained.
Tickets are $100 each, three for $250, five packs for $375 and super packs for $500.
The 50/50 draw and cash calendar add-ons are both back. The 50/50 jackpot last year was $700,000.
