Six people from four different cities are facing a variety of charges following a drug bust in Regina.
Police conducted a traffic stop around 10 p.m. Tuesday on the 1900 block of Rupert Street — by Victoria Avenue and Ring Road.
Officers arrested two 18-year-old men for possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. One of them provided a false name and was charged with obstruction.
A search warrant of a hotel room was executed, resulting in the arrests of four others. The search recovered a significant amount of Canadian money, some cocaine, and other items consistent with drug trafficking.
Mohamed Aden, 18, from Toronto is charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime and failing to comply with recognizance.
Anas Ali Ahmed, 18, from Regina is charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime and obstructing a peace officer.
Mohamed Hassan, 29, from Edmonton is charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime and failure to comply with recognizance.
Chantel Deanna Hubick, 39, from Saskatoon is charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.
Yusuf Yusuf, 23, from Toronto is charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime and failing to comply with recognizance.
Makador Mohamed, 22, of Toronto is charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.
All six made their first court appearance Thursday afternoon.
