Environment Canada said the temperature topped at 36.3 C in Weyburn. That temperature broke the record for August 22 that was set in 1944 at 35.6 C.
It’s also the hottest temperature reached in Saskatchewan so far this summer. The hottest temperature before Monday was 34.4 C in Indian Head on May 5.
