The final Labour Day Classic to be played on Taylor Field at Mosaic Stadium is getting close to a sell out.
Although there is no official word on ticket sales from the Roughriders, a quick search of TicketMaster.com shows that tickets are going fast.
On Monday morning, the ticket map showed only a few dozen single seats available scattered across many different sections. The website does show more than 200 seats for resale and there are a few more tickets up for grabs on websites like UsedRegina.ca and Kijiji.ca.
The average going price for a single ticket ranges between $63 and $120 depending on the section.
Despite the dismal one and eight record for this season, Rider fans appear to be hoping to keep up the tradition of winning against the Bombers in the Labour Day Classic.
The hype is not extending to the Banjo Bowl in Winnipeg. The Blue Bombers are tweeting that sales to Rider fans are down 30 per cent this year.
Rider fan #BanjoBowl ticket purchases down over 30%. If that’s not reason enough to come, the final score will be. #RollCallFail
