There was a large police presence on the 1700 block of Winnipeg Street, between Saskatchewan Drive and 11th Avenue, Friday afternoon.
Officers blocked off that portion of Winnipeg St. for several hours but that has since reopened.
Police confirm they had received information about a suspect connected with a recent weapons offence in the city.
Chrystal, who lives on the 1700 block of Quebec Street, explained to News Talk Radio what she saw.
“It was noon, I noticed the ghost truck come and they had the dogs out, there was probably a good 12 or so cops in the backyard.”
Chrsyal added she saw police take a man into custody.
Police later took a second person from a house, and loaded them into the back of a police car before taking them from the scene.
Police have not confirmed how many people were arrested nor is there any word on any charges.
