A two-vehicle crash at Albert Street and College Avenue in Regina Thursday afternoon resulted in a car flipping onto its roof.
Bradie Herbel, one of the drivers, explained to 980 CJME she was driving on Albert St. when the light turned yellow.
“I did not have enough room to stop otherwise I would’ve been in the middle of the intersection, so I sped up just a little bit so I could make it through without stopping in the middle of the intersection.”
Herbel added that is when the other driver tried to make a turn onto College Ave from Albert St.
Herbel’s vehicle hit the car head on and the one turning flipped.
Herbel said she is OK, just a little shaken up, and it appeared the other driver was fine too. And, she has some advice for drivers.
“Make sure you’re always paying attention, if you are really not sure if you have enough time to make a light don’t chance it or this situation possibly could’ve ended up a lot worse with someone in the hospital.”
