A Regina woman is worried about her safety after hearing a bullet go through the window of a home in her quiet neighbourhood.
The woman, who lives in the Whitmore Park neighbourhood, was home when someone shot at a house on the 2700 block of Grant Road before 8 a.m. Wednesday morning.
She wants to remain anonymous because she’s worried for her safety.
“I just heard kind of like a bang. It was an unusual sound. I can’t really describe it because I thought ‘well did someone hit a car?’”
No one was hurt, but the home is across the street from Grant Road School, which worries the community member.
“I just hope the police department is taking extra caution because we are so close to a school and this is of deep concern to me,” she said. “It just makes me feel scared because I didn’t think that could happen in my neighbourhood.”
Officers were not able to find a gun, and no one has been taken into custody.
Police say there may have been two male suspects, dressed in dark clothing with their faces covered. It is also believed the men got away in a light-coloured gold or silver truck.
