NewLeaf won’t be flying out of Saskatchewan in November.
Passengers who had planned to fly out of Saskatoon or Regina with the discount airliner will also need to find another carrier for the first ten days of December.
In a news release sent out on Thursday, the company said there hasn’t been enough demand for that time period.
NewLeaf flights out of Victoria and Kamloops have also been scrubbed over the same time frame for the same reason.
Despite plans to reduce service this fall in Saskatchewan and BC, NewLeaf said there has been a strong demand overall this year and travellers can now book flights through April of next year.
The company also plans on adding six planes in the middle of December to keep up with the holiday demand.
The airline said it plans on adding new flights to Canadian and U.S. destinations.
Announcements on expanded service will be made in the coming weeks.
NewLeaf also promised not to price gouge customers over the Christmas holidays.
