A teenage driver is facing serious charges for his alleged involvement in a deadly crash on Circle Drive nearly three weeks ago.
The suspect, who was 17 years old at the time, was charged Tuesday with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death.
He was charged previously with breaching a number of court orders.
The collision happened around 1:30 p.m. on Sept.7 in the southbound lane between Attridge Drive and 108th Street.
Police said a northbound car clipped a slow moving construction vehicle, lost control and crossed the centre median before slamming into a southbound vintage Volkswagen beetle.
The 70-year-old man driving the classic car died at the scene.
The accused was remanded after a court appearance Tuesday. A bail hearing is scheduled for Oct. 5.
