Police remain on the lookout for an inmate who escaped secured custody over the weekend.
Travis Clay Funk, 34, went missing from the Saskatoon Provincial Correctional Centre around 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
Drew Wilby, a spokesperson with the Ministry of Justice, said the inmate was in the exercise yard when he got out.
Funk was on remand for non-violent crimes, including fraud and weapons-related offences, and is not a high risk to the public.
Police are stilling warning people not to approach Funk on their own.
Wilby said the province is investigating the circumstances of his escape, including whether he might have had help.
In a release Saturday, police said a gold/brown Cadillac SUV may have helped in the escape.
Funk is described as white, around six feet three inches tall, 210 pounds with a very pockmarked face.
Anyone with information about Funk’s whereabouts should contact local police or the RCMP.
