One woman is dead after a car slammed into a tree in a fatal crash in Regina early Tuesday morning.
Regina police said officers saw a car driving fast and erratically on Albert Street around 1:30 a.m. They tried to stop the vehicle at Albert Street and 1st Avenue North, but the vehicle got away so they stopped following the car.
Police said they received two more calls about the car driving dangerously.
At around 1:40 a.m. police were called to the crash on 9th Avenue North, near the baseball diamond east of Lorne Street North after the car slammed into a tree. The lone driver, a 37-year-old woman was killed in the collision.
