Violent crime in Regina has gone up this year according to new statistics released by police.
So far this year, there have been five homicides in the city and 20 attempted murders. Last year, there were five homicides and four attempted murders.
In 2016 there have already been 98 sexual assaults in the city. In 2015 there were 81.
Assaults, arson, break-ins, car thefts and traffic tickets have all gone up compared to numbers from last year.
