City of Regina wants to hear from fans following test game at new Mosaic Stadium

Thousands of fans will get an up close look at the new Mosaic Stadium Saturday, and the City of Regina wants to hear from them afterwards.
 
“We are looking for feedback from people attending the game,” explained Kim Onrait, Executive Director of City Services and Major Projects. “We want them to be apart of this.”

Onrait said a survey will be sent out after the game for fans to fill out.

Over 16,000 people will pack the lower bowl of the new facility to watch the University of Regina Rams battle the University of Saskatchewan Huskies. It is the first event for the $278 million facility.

“When you have half the stadium filled, how does it work, what’s happening, and that’s exactly what we’re doing here,” said Mayor Michael Fougere.

Fougere added this is a way to get all the kinks out before the stadium gets regular use in the summer of 2017.

Also, the water at the new stadium has been given the all clear to drink, however, water tankers will be on site for those who prefer to drink from there instead.
