A convicted killer who got away last week from the Saskatchewan Penitentiary near Prince Albert is back in custody.
RCMP said Tuesday they had re-captured Roger Gillet as of 6:45 a.m.
The 64-year-old man was discovered missing during a morning head count on Sept. 30.
Still no word on how Gillet escaped, but there are no fences around the minimum security facility where he was being held.
Gillet is serving a sentence for second degree murder, forcible confinement and robbery.
He also has a prior conviction for escaping lawful custody.
