Regina police are searching for two men after a violent robbery in the downtown area Sunday evening.
According to police, a 22-year-old woman was walking alone in the 1900 block of St. John Street by Saskatchewan Drive when she was approached by two unknown men who demanded money.
The victim said she was hit with a hard object, then the suspects took a small amount of money from her.
The victim wasn’t sure of the exact location of the incident but felt the robbery happened somewhere near the 1900 block of St. John Street.
The only description of the suspects indicates they were both wearing dark clothing with long, dark hair, and one had a moustache.
Police said it appears the woman was assaulted with a sharp-edged weapon.
The victim received treatment at a local hospital for injuries not considered life-threatening.
