Saskatoon police have laid charges in the city’s eighth homicide.
A 28-year-old man is charged with second-degree murder, possession of a weapon for the purpose of committing an offence and two counts of breaching an undertaking.
The charges stem from an incident on June 18. A man was found hurt on the 300 block of Avenue E South around 1:20 p.m. and later died in hospital of his injuries.
Police said Wednesday that an autopsy found the death to be a homicide.
Police thanked businesses near the scene of the incident for providing surveillance footage which helped with the investigation.
The accused is expected to make his first court appearance on Wednesday afternoon.
