Four people have been arrested and charged after drugs, weapons, money, and stolen items were found at a home in north Regina.
On Wednesday, a search warrant was executed at a home on the 1000 block of 12th Avenue North, between Winnipeg Street and Sturdy Street.
Police said when entering the home, officers were met by an aggressive dog which charged at them. This forced one of the officers to fire a single shot at the dog. The animal was not hit and ran into the basement.
Four other dogs were also found inside the residence. Animal Control was called and all five dogs were taken.
A search of the home was completed and a significant amount and variety of drugs, weapons, and Canadian money was seized. Officers also seized a large amount of stolen property including clothing, electronics, and vehicle accessories.
Arron Albert Racette, 50, and Lori Lynn Panteluk, 43, are facing a combined 34 charges related to drugs and weapons.
Joshua Alexander Hamilton, 36, has been charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, and break, enter, and commit theft.
All three made their first court appearance in Regina Thursday afternoon.
Cole Neal Symons, 32, of Alberta, has outstanding warrants at the time of the arrest.
