Regina police have a man in custody following a possible firearms offence east of downtown.
Around 5 p.m. Thursday, police were dispatched to an address on the 1700 block of Quebec Street — between Saskatchewan Drive and 11th Avenue — for a report of a man with a gun.
Members of the Crisis Negotiators Team were called to the scene.
After communications with police, the man exited the home and surrendered to officers peacefully.
Investigators searched the location but did not locate any guns.
Charges are not certain at this point.
Traffic in the area was blocked while the investigation was taking place, but the roads have now cleared. Police confirm it is safe for the public to enter the area again.
