Jarvis James and Mitch Hillis each scored a pair of touchdowns and the University of Saskatchewan Huskies football team beat the UBC Thunderbirds 40-10.
James ran in a pair of short distance scores while Hillis’ tally included a 77-yard reception and 145-yards receiving.
The offense was clicking for the Huskies all night long, racking up 494 total yards, 33 first downs to go with 5-touchdowns.
While there was plenty of on-field fireworks by the U of S, there was just as many off it. The Huskies hosted “Blackout Night” highlighted by a fireworks display.

Quarterback Kyle Siemens also came to play, throwing for 346-yards with 3-touchdowns and no interceptions.
The win was big for the Huskies playoff push as they fight with Manitoba for the final spot in the race. Saskatchewan’s record moves to and even 3-3 with the win while the Bisons dropped to 2-4 after a 61-6 loss to Calgary.
The Huskies face Calgary next on Saturday, Oct. 22.
