The all clear has been given for an elementary school in Regina placed in ‘secure the building’ Monday.
Around 12:45 p.m, police were called to a home on the 1000 block of McTavish Street — between 4th and 5th Avenue — after a report of a gun at the residence.
As a precaution, Seven Stones Community School was placed in ‘secure the building’. It was lifted around 3:35 p.m.
The incident is still under investigation.
‘Secure the building’ is a situation where it is believed a threat is outside the building resulting in the decision to secure the school whereby all outside doors will be locked to secure the building. Each exterior door is to be monitored by designated school staff until secure the building mode has been lifted. Entry and exit of the building will be at the front doors only and are to be monitored by police and school administration.
