The heavy fog which blanketed Prince Albert and areas across Saskatchewan on Saturday and Sunday caused havoc on the roads and may have contributed to a pedestrian being hit by a truck.
At roughly 6:30 a.m. Saturday, RCMP were called out to Highway 2, about 2 km south of PrinceAlbert. When they arrived, officers found a 21-year-old man who had allegedly been walking in the middle of the road when he was hit by a half-tonne truck.
He’s currently in Saskatoon Hospital with serious injuries.
The driver was unharmed and, according to RCMP, charges aren’t being considered at this time.
Highway 2 was closed for a while Saturday morning, but was soon re-opened.
