Two men have died, two others have been injured in a crash on Highway 2 near the Colonsay Potash mine.
According to Colonsay’s Fire Chief, who responded to the collision, a mobility van from Watrous and a pickup truck were involved in the head-on crash around 7:20 Tuesday morning.
The 69-year-old man driving the van and a 60-year-old man inside were pronounced dead at the scene.
Another passenger in the van, a 74-year-old man, was taken to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon by STARS for treatment, but his injuries have not been disclosed.
The 30-year-old man driving the pick-up suffered serious injuries and was transported to a Saskatoon hospital by ambulance.
RCMP haven’t yet said what caused the crash.
The road had closed for several hours but has since reopened.
