I am one of millions of people who have Mosaic Stadium memories that I cherish.
Over three decades ago I was a young reporter who made his way to the press box for the first time, only to be greeted by GM John Herrera. That was the first of some great, and not so great, Rider games that I covered.
My best memories involve my two sons, who are both grown up now. My oldest played his first game on the Taylor Field turf as a member of the Saskatoon Hilltops against the Regina Thunder more than five years ago. Family pictures on the field followed a Saskatoon win.
My youngest son and I took in a great AC/DC concert in 2009 that many of you no doubt enjoyed. He was impressed that I somehow dodged a long line up to get to our seats. That was great father/son time.
Having said all of that, I won’t be sorry to see that out of date stadium come down.
