Regina’s Wholesale Sports will be closing its doors at the end of the year.
The sporting goods store will be closing on Dec. 31.
Nick Harsulla, manager of corporate communications for the United Farmers of Alberta, said the decision to close the store was “a business decision that was in the best interest for Wholesale and our cooperative.”
Approx. 50 employees will be affected by the closure, and Harsulla said there are no plans to relocate the store.
Harsulla said they believe the store in Saskatoon, as well as their online store, will be enough to meet the demand of their Saskatchewan customers.
There will be a store closing sale that will run until Dec. 31 and then the doors will officially close.
