There are always those must-see moments in a championship run. Chicago designated hitter Kyle Schwarber has given us a terrific story for the 2016 World Series, no matter the outcome.
Schwarber almost had to learn how to walk again, after suffering a knee injury early in the season. The knee required surgery. It was a major set back for a talented player who was just in his second year of Major League Baseball. Not many saw this coming, but he’s back in a big way for the Cubs.
Schwarber drove in two runs in game two of the world series, after Chicago was drubbed in game one of the fall classic. Even in the opener it could be argued that Schwarber did his part going one for three, with a walk and a hit. Cleveland seemed to bring the best out of the Ohio born Schwarber.
I’m no expert when it comes to Kyle Schwarber’s short major league career, other then was the fourth overall pick in the 2014 Major League draft out of Indiana. I may have to study up.
