A plea is expected to be entered Friday for the suspect in the deadly La Loche mass shooting.
A boy, now 18 years old, is accused of killing four people and attempting to kill seven more in the northern Saskatchewan community on Jan. 22.
Two brothers were fatally shot at a home in La Loche before a gunman went to the local school and opened fire. Two teachers died and seven other people in the building were wounded.
The suspect can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The hearing is set for Meadow Lake Provincial Court at 1:30 p.m.
It will be the suspect’s first in-person appearance, with all previous ones taking place via video link, and his second hearing in Meadow Lake.
Also expected to be in attendance are the defence and Crown attorneys, who previously dealt with matters in court over the phone.
During his last appearance in September, the accused elected to be tried by a judge and jury.
La Loche is located about a six-hour drive north of Saskatoon.
