For the second straight meeting, Logan Flodell shut out the Raiders. The latest goose egg came in a 1-0 win in Prince Albert Saturday.
The 19-year-old goalie stopped all 23 shots he faced for his second shutout of the season. The other also came against Prince Albert.
On the other side of the ice the Blades ran another hot goalie on the night. Youngster Ian Scott made 32 saves in the loss and was named the game’s first star.
Josh Paterson scored what would be Saskatoon’s only goal just over a minute into the third period. Ryan Graham picked up an assist on the marker, his first point since returning from injury on Friday.
The meeting in Prince Albert was also a homecoming for Blades forward Kolten Olynek. The over-age forward made his first appearance at the Art Hauser Centre since being released by the Raiders and signed by Saskatoon.
“It’s kind of weird being back,” he said.
“It was a fun game and any game between Saskatoon and P.A. is a fun one, a little different being on the other side with the fans against you here, but it was fun, it was loud in here tonight and we put on a good show.”
The Blades return home to SaskTel Centre on Tuesday, Nov. 1 against Seattle.
